70mai Pro Plus+ A500S vs 70mai True 4K Dash Cam A800S
70mai has released many dashboard camera products with different features and performances these past years. This time, we have a chance to try and compare two compact-type dashboard cameras from this brand, which are 70mai Pro Plus+ A500S vs A800S. So, here is the review of these two dashboard cameras.
70mai Pro Plus+ A500S Review
This product consists of two cameras, which are the front and rear cameras. Each of them can record in high-resolution format. Moreover, these two cameras have a dual-channel recording for dual recording at the same time to ensure you get the right timestamp for every event occurring around your car.
The front camera has three resolutions you can activate depending on your needs. They are 1944p, 1920p, and 1440p. As for the rear camera, it only has one resolution, which is 1080p.
For providing clear recording, 70mai use Sony IMX335 Sensor. It is a high-sensitivity image sensor that captures a clear image even in a low-brightness environment. The camera has a 6-glass lens, F/1.8 aperture, 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction), and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) to record video.
The display is small, but we don’t have any problem with it. The only problem is the display screen can only display one image from one camera. You can’t use it to see the image from the front and rear cameras.
Yet, its ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) at least help the driver to avoid impact with limited visualization on the screen. So, it becomes a solution for the flaw this product has.

- High-quality image sensor (Sony IMX335).
- It only displays one camera screen, not a dual screen.
70mai True 4K Dash Cam A800S Review
Resolution-wise, the A800S offers better performance than the A500S. The front camera can record up to 2180p of resolution and another two options are 1600p and 1080p. As for its rear camera, it has a fixed 1080p resolution.
This dashboard camera also has a dual-vision recording feature. It allows you to record the front and rear areas you can monitor. Furthermore, the rear camera is easy to install without cables or connecting to a port.
To support its high-resolution capability, 70mai also adds various features that can help you record in any condition. For example, it has a night vision mode with DNR (Dynamic Noise Reduction) technology to create a video recording in a low-brightness environment without noise. Then, it also has a full 7-glass lens/F1.8 aperture to improve its video recording quality.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a 5G network feature, which is the reason why it takes too long to download or export the recorded video from this camera to your device. It happens even when we use the app that comes with this dashboard camera. The download requires too much time, and we experience memory card corruption in the middle of recording, which is another flaw of this product.
